Ugly characters can look good - what I mean by this is a dude with an eye socket or nose bashed in and healed multiple times still looks immersive, even though he wouldn't be a fashion model. Options for things like smudged noses or missing teeth could go a long way to make characters look like they've been in a brawl or two.

Yeah, there are limits we'll have to set up, Slasher ones were very weak.

what a stud

Anyway I think sculpting is a good idea, slasher had dozens of sliders and it was a little messy I think.

Yeah, we need more dumbed down stuff, I mean sliders are so 2004, duh.
Just give us sliders, don't be FO4.

It's about being intuitive, not really about dumbing things down. I think with the level of detail you can have these days in character creation it's a lot more appealing than having a billion menus for each and every detail. We'll see how it turns out I guess.

Pretty much. Sliders would be impossible, just the sculpting of the bones themselves involves roughly 500 separate values (~50 bones with 9 components each (Rotation X, Y, Z, Scale X Y Z, Translate X Y Z). So we have to present it in a manageable way.

You can achieve with sculpting what you could achieve with sliders. Eye size etc. can still be sliders, but there's no need to have three separate sliders for cheek size, form and location.

I wouldn't mind things like eye sliders, as I'd end up seriously messing up eye sockets trying to stretch them.. ew
As for the vast majority of options, I think sculpting would work far better.

I'm not suggesting this, as it's a total niche thing and unfeasible for mordhau, but this is crazy and would be hilarious in a game:

Imagine cutting off someone's actual head, virtually... scary stuff.

I'm loving everything I'm seeing, only thing I'm curious about is whether or not 3rd person view will be available.

From what I have heard, official servers will be 1st person and non official servers will be 1st by default with the owners having the option to enable 3rd.
