Japan / Samurai Armour would give the player base a larger variety of armour to express themselves and let people feel more unique

But how would that fit into the game when there is absolutely no other relation to any kind of Asian culture? That would just look stupid and patched up...

Use the search function, please. The devs have repeatedly stated they have no intention to add far-eastern equipment.

Dis game have no place for weebs ! Stop watching anime plz...
And once for all, a medieval knight in full armor would totaly burst a samurai... Dont fantasize about katana...

Liking samurai doesn't make you a weeb (it's just another knight) and also doesn't imply that you like anime.
And since we're at it: Liking anime doesn't make you a weeb, either.

With such a reasoning, you take 60% of the weapons in the game, in practice, they do absolutely nothing to a complete plate armor.
Ex: Short swords, chopper, messers, throwing knives, stick...

Clearly, in this kind of game and more particularly on Mordhau which has enough to become a masterpiece, diversity is superior to realism (Thanks to the guy who said that in the forums).
I'm not a big fan of samurai, but it could be really cool to have their equipment. To see a duel between a knight and a samurai. And even, let's add even more diversity, Arab weapons and armor. A Janissary warrior who intervenes in the fight.

Clearly, diversity is superior to realism.

No, gameplay is superior to realism

That entirely depends on your understanding of those words. Because, judging by what you wrote there, adding lightsabers would be entirely ok, too.

Adding new stuff can be cool and all, but only if it fits into the game and is supported by the already existing content.

Yes, of course, we must remain consistent at the very least. Of course, it is necessary to remain a realistic minimum by adding only medieval or nearby equipment. But it would be a great addition to be able to find all kinds of different weapons from different cultures.
