Mordhau

Please do something about this infestation of edgy Nazis

Edgy nazi here,
Sorry mate, but I would prefer this game not becoming R6S and get kicked for every little thing, even if it's a joke or not, because people actually take it seriously and get triggered like you and require an actual censorship system, when you could just mute them and be done with it.

Peace-loving Nazis never censored anything. They burned books because the spring was too cold back then.

If you look at @NikolaiLudovik's posting history, you can see he's also a fan of the antisemitic triple parentheses, so it's unlikely he was being "ironic" when describing himself as a Nazi. Indeed, instead of saying "I'm not a Nazi, the Nazis were bad people," he says

it happened because of marxists poping up and gaining influence and power (just like today), so that's why it's the same

In other words, in his mind the Nazis were justified. Wow.

Just ignore them. Worked great in the 1930s. And what can go wrong now that weapons of mass destruction are abundant?

Forum trolls lead to ww3. News at 11

Um no. I just choose not to get offended by words that mean nothing to me. Maybe they mean something to you and if you get offended, that's your choice. Shameful for conflating people who don't care to the people responsible for world war.

So you ignore them?

Actually you appear to be offended now. I didn't conflate you with anyone btw. If you interpret what I said that way, that's your choice.

Your logic is laughable. Not being offended and ignoring something is completely different. Someone can be offended by something someone said and choose to ignore them by muting or turning off chat. Just because someone isn't offended doesn't mean they didn't ignore what was said. People need to stop being a beta for once and grow up. Its laughable how weak people have become.

Do you really believe this alpha and beta non-sense?
Do you really think it's weak to oppose Nazis and strong to suck up to them?

This conversation is becoming fruitless so lets come to a satisfactory climax. I assume you're not a SJW or a "beta" but I hope that if you do see those racist words, you don't become offended and take meaningless action. Even if you are offended, you won't do anything stupid. That doesn't mean I condone people saying those things. I despise trolls and racists. I condemn Nazis and KKK members and you name it. I never suck up to these groups of people. However, I know the difference between a real Nazi as opposed to someone who might be a 4channer or troll throwing out the N-word. One almost succeeded in taking over almost all of Europe or even the world, one is a retarded basement dweller. If you want to fight actual nazis, start condemning Antifa. Going off topic, to conclude, people need to stop crying because its the internet, people are going to say what they want. Can the devs remedy or reduce the severity of these trolls? Maybe. Should you cry out NAZIS PLEASE DO SOMETHING DEVS, RACISTS BAN. Probably not.

Which kind are these guys? Because one of them murdered someone at Charlottesville, which strikes me as not at all harmless.

OK. There's one kind of fascist. Some just have more power than others. The ones who are being "ironic" or "funny" or "edgy" or who just enjoy trolling on the Internet, support and incite the ones who kill people. I reject the claim that words don't matter, because we have so much evidence that words DO matter.

The people who own this forum don't necessarily agree with me on that. But they definitely do agree on the narrower proposition, that hate speech isn't allowed here, and they've kicked people from the forums for doing so.

Definition of Nazi:"a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party." How many members of the national socialist German workers party do you really think play Mordhau? Stop abusing definitions.

Look at the swastika flag --- and then take another look --- and tell me the guy waving it is not a Nazi. Are you really going to tell us the people who shout "Seig Heil" today are something else, because they don't have a membership card from the 1930s? It's a distinction without a difference and you know it.

No hes not a Nazi, hes an alt-right "demonstrator", but by definition hes not a Nazi. Seig Heil is a German phrase meaning hail victory and should NOT be banned simply because of the people who used it. Should "banzai" be banned because it was used by soldiers of an evil regime? Absolutely not. The Nazi salute should probably not be used(I don't think it needs to be taken as seriously as it is) but a phrase should not.

From the German wikipedia:
"Nazi ist ein Kurzwort für einen Anhänger des Nationalsozialismus."

That translates more or less to: "Nazi is an acronym for supporters/followers of National Socialism." There is no mention of the NSDAP. I don't know where you got your definition from but I'm inclined to believe that Germans know best in this matter due to historical reasons that somehow seem to already have been forgotten by many.

Also the defense is pretty weak: "You see, your honor. My client is no murderer. He is not a member of the murder party." Now before you start with "There is no murder party!", guess what? There is no NSDAP either.

Sigh. You have misinterpreted my statement once again. You assume I am defending him, I am not. I am merely saying you are abusing definitons. The bearer of that flag may have Nazi like tendencies, but by English definition hes not a Nazi, even by German definition its unlikely as this was taken at an alt-right event, and the right is not currently known for their socialism. Perhaps I am wrong and this man is a supporter of national socialism, but I still think comparing a man with a flag to the people who gassed millions of Jews is disrespectful and downright ridiculous.

What is downright ridiculous is how deliberately obtuse you are being. The guy waving the Nazi flag deserves my respect, because I shouldn't assume he's a supporter of Nazis? I was wrong to converse with you directly. You obviously aren't arguing in good faith, because no one could make that argument and actually believe what he is saying.

For the benefit of the others reading this thread, a fact: the Charlottesville rally included self-described Nazis who chanted "Blood and Soil" just like the Nazis did in the 1930s in Germany. One of the self-described Nazis was just sentenced to life in prison for murdering a woman at that rally. So don't tell me how harmless they are.

I appreciate you linking that, if youll notice it says Neo-Nazi, which is different than a Nazi, similar but different. Also never said they were harmless, im saying the tragic death of one woman is very different from the deaths of millions.

Your definition is wrong. Not his. Yours. Also National Socialism isn't Socialism. Just like People's Republics most of the time aren't republics.
No single man gassed millions of Jews. I get the impression that WWII was too kind to Americans, because you are so eager to ignore the lessons learned from it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance

These guys are Nazis. They themselves identify as Nazis. People that carry that flag don't just have tendencies. They are not worthy of your protection. I think it's more disrespectful to march under that flag than to call that guys Nazis - by far.
