Has anyone ever tried hooking up lute bot to a guitar via a midi adapter? The adapter costs like $80, would love to try it out but I figured I should ask if anyone has done it before being $80 poorer.

The link to the Guitar-Midi adapter on amazon is here

Ok so my issue is that when I play something, it sounds like gibberish. Everything's working fine with the console, loading a song, etc., but for some reason whenever the song starts playing it just sounds nothing like the actual song. I listen to the midi file by itself and it sounds fine, but loaded into lutebot and then in mordhau it doesn't sound like anything.

Not sure if it's a bug or unintended effect, but sometimes a bunch of notes played at the same time, if in the same track in the midi, will not get played by lutebot in game. The exact same notes on separate tracks do get played. Not sure why it happens but I have examples

Spent a ton of time editing a bunch of midis to work well with lutebot:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OA0YJ6nmgsTB32QGCJ3Kbcn7Q5W4AcKU?usp=sharing
Works best with high framerate in-game and a note cool down between 22-30.

Mordhau lute is limited to 2 octaves in game. Having a midi with a lot of notes that span more than 2 octaves will be hard to recognize. Also, certain midis come with tracks for drums or other effects, which will always be something you want to either disable or delete with a midi editor

Right click mordhau in your steam library > properties > local files > browse local files
That will give you the location

Can't seem to get it to work. Followed instructions carefully (sound effects off and all). When I start the bot and fiddle with it everything seems to work nicely, but as I start Mordhau and join a server nothing happens from the default keybindings. I tried the "Quick Setup" process and also the more complex one where I created my own playlist and a soundboard, no luck either time.

Seems to be the same problem many other face here as well, so any help? For the record it seems like a grand bit of fun, and I'd love to get to play some notes for my fellows.

My hotkeys never work unless I run lutebot as admin

Hello all!

Mordhau's most recent update (11/25/2019: 12:00 PM) seems to have broken Lutebot, specifically in that there is no longer a DefaultInput.ini file in Mordhau's files. That being said, there is a fix!

Credit to: Humanista, from the comments of said update, I just applied the fix to allow Lutebot to play from PageDown (he had the console set to F1).

There is a new file called Input.ini in Users > [Name] > AppData > Local > Mordhau > Saved > Config > WindowsClient

In that file, scroll to the bottom, and add these two lines of text:

[/script/engine.inputsettings]
ConsoleKey=PageDown

And voila! Done and done! Set up Lutebot as normal, just do not set the DefaultInput.ini file (not that you could anyway, since it no longer exists).

I have tested it, and it seems to work fine, but I am not entirely sure if this modification could cause you to be banned. I don't think so, since Lutebot originally did something similar, but I'm not 100% sure!

Cheers!

Hello my dear lute friends,

I have a problem of the highest degree that the mob does not like to imagine.

This magical formula of which is spoken in ritual formula is not in the collection of my magic works

Meant is the magic formula with the name defaultInput.ini

You don't need to rename Input.ini! In fact, you can ignore the message in Lutebot's settings completely! Just add those two lines into Input.ini, and set Lutebot's OpenConsole keybind to PageDown (it recognizes PageDown as "Next").

But, if you got it to work by renaming the file, I suppose that's a fix as well!

You don't need to fix it! The current version of Mordhau no longer seems to have a "DefaultInput.ini", seemingly being replaced by Input.ini. As such, you need to add these two lines into Input.ini, at the bottom:

[/script/engine.inputsettings]
ConsoleKey=PageDown

After that, make sure the keybind for OpenConsole is set to "Next" (PageDown), and you'll be good to go! You can safely ignore that message!

Can't find the DefaultInput.ini file location to set keybindings in the launcher. This may be due to the fact that the config file doesn't exist under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mordhau\Mordhau. Is there a way to crate it or how do i install it?
