Right now if you check the Toggle Sprint setting the character stops sprinting if you stop moving or strafe and you need to press Shift again which is annoying in a battle. Toggle Sprint is good when you are just running around the map but in a battle I want to be able to keep sprinting if I move forward after stopping and strafing.

Maybe holding Shift with Toggle Sprint checked should let you always sprint just like when the Toggle Sprint setting is unchecked (because right now holding Shift does nothing with Toggle Sprint).
Or maybe stopping should not require you to press Shift to toggle Sprint back and remain constantly at sprint as long as you move forward after making a stop.

Right now I feel like I should just uncheck Toggle Sprint and put some toothpicks in my Shift or use some program to keep it constantly active 😆

Bind sprint to your move forward button. Problem solved.

Very good solution, but now I interrupt my health and stamina regen. Need a Walk button, or at least a can bind Move Forward to some other button.

If you absolutely want to move forward while low on hp you can crouch, the speed difference between it and walking is almost zero, and you become a harder target for archers who are gonna be looking to shoot at low hp people. Otherwise, most of the time when I'm low hp I will simply sprint to cover and wait or walk backwards and sideways.

Thank you, that seems to be a good idea

Would love to see a key bind for sprint toggle.

What toggle sprint should do, is actually toggle always sprint.
Press it once to always sprint, regardless of what you do. Press it again, and its off.
I don't know why this was messed up again in Mordhau, as it already was messed up in Chivalry, too.
Can we please get it to be an actual toggle, that does not disable itself just because you briefly stop or strafe?
