Are the devs actually going to acknowledge the fact that people have to play this game on 100ms?

It's been like this for me since day one. I've taken my PC around to two of my friends houses which have different ISPs than myself and I still get 100ms. No matter the region the server is located. I can't use proper builds in Frontline, unless I spend most of my time ganking and back stabbing people. Spear is just about the only weapon I can use properly because of it's range and stab being so effective. As soon as I try to duel anyone I am just guessing parries and chambering. Most of the time I see people attacking me they literally grunt at the same time if not before the attack has hit me..

I know there's a lot of other people with this problem.

The game relies on you having under 50ms.

I have never experienced the game under that ping.

Are they going to fix this or even acknowledge that it's ruining people's experiences or does everyone here just think it's a bunch of made up bullshit? I don't understand.

Then play on a server that's closer to your location..?

Are you serious? Regardless of server location I get 100ms. Regardless of internet connection as well.

Why are you and other so intent on making this out like it's our fault just because you and the majority don't have this issue?

I played Chivalry for 3000 hours with a ping that averaged between 80 and 100. I was looking forward to its spiritual successor having improved on its netcode, but I'm sad to say that it's just more of the same with this game. At around 80-100, parrying becomes unreliable to the point where attacks will frequently cut through your parry.

The funny thing is, my brother has the exact same ISP with the exact same speeds and he lives only an hour away. Yet his ping usually floats around the 40-60 range. All I can conclude is that the line infrastructure in my apartment is terrible and there's nothing I can do about it.

No it probably is perfectly fine. I've been two of my friends houses with two different ISPs and there's no difference. It's the game and/or game servers. Has nothing to do with our internet.

The netcode has vastly improved. In chivalry high ping would affect others, a single high ping player could ruin the experience for a lot of people. In mordhau the game is mostly server sided which prevents a lot of cheating and lag exploiting at the costs of the gameplay experience of high ping players.

A dev made a post Somewhere explaining that the "ping" you see on the scoreboard takes intoo account more than you actual ping, but also your framerate and some other factors. What is tour average FPS ?

Then it shouldn't be titled 'Ping' on the scoreboard.

There is DEFINITELY a latency issue with the game. I have faith that it'll be improved though as I liked what I see from the development side of things so far.

The game’s playable at 200ms for me, still at the top of the scoreboard. You’re over exaggerating it being unplayable at 100.

I feel ya, in central Canada there is literally no servers for us and I get at the very least 130 ping every game. I hope they add a server in calgary so even people in northern usa can get a server also.

60fps constant. I turned down my graphic settings it does nothing.

Same thing for me here. Central Canada, no servers for me to play on with less than 112 "ping." Constant 60 fps, no stutters in-game. No random ping spikes or packet loss symbol either, just 112 ping that sometimes fluctuates from 100 to 112. US central and US west both give me the same ping at 140-160ms.

I heard that the US central servers are located in Dallas? That means the closest server to me is US east, and barely. Kind of misleading to say it's central US tbh lol, not quite central at all. It's weird that a dev team with a component in Canada doesn't have a server that gives Canadians (or northern midwest USA) decent ping, except for those in southern Ontario I guess. Disappointing.

Bump.
Still no answers we just get "it's being worked on".
You're going to lose player base because of this.
This game is actually less fun then Chiv when I'm forced to play like this, I hate to say it.
Only reason why I'm not playing that game instead is because no one else does.
Just FYI I top leader boards in Frontline but what's the fucking point in playing when I come up against an actual decent player with 30ms and I'm still stuck on 80ms having to guess when to parry, chamber and where each others feet are. It's a joke.

Game playable at 80-100 for me.
And this ping is avg for Middle East.

I've noticed that when frontline servers in NA fill up to 64, my ping jumps up from about 65ish to around 90 to 100 which makes the game harder to play. You really can't react to feints, and actually a lot of times I accidentally blocked morphs due to the latency. The more I duel on fluff's nyc 120 tick server the more I need to click last second to parry and it hurts going from that to 100 in frontline.

What I've been doing is trying the match maker to see if I can luck out having 50 ping frontlines, if not then I go to the server browser and look for the lower player capped NA east (which is closer to me) community servers and can have some good games there.

If the ping is a combo of other things I have a feeling servers are lagging under 64 players and some of the heavier maps like grad to cause the higher ping. Same servers I usually have the ping I'd expect until the player count rises and I'm back to 100.

Of course the game's "playable" at those pings but you will have a completely different experience to those with under 40.
You are out of range in the game but not on you screen and the same with enemies attacking you, they can hit you when you're out of range on your screen but not in the game.
This might acceptable for you, you probably play the game casually for fun but I want to get competitive and it's impossible like this.

That's exactly why I'm pissed about it. This happens to me regardless of server location, population and game mode.

My ping is fine in the EU connecting to servers a few hundred km from me. Where exactly are you located? Look through the server browser and try find a server in your region that is as close as possible and has 0 players, see if it makes a difference. My ping generally sits around 35, then gets higher or spikes randomly if the server is reaching capacity.
