Crashing & Freezing: DirectX and Unreal Engine

At any given time I'm playing the game will randomly freeze, sometimes crashing instantly to the desktop. I've managed to mitigate this by doing a fresh install and adding "-dx12" to the launch options, however once I close the game after a fresh install it will crash instantly until I do another fresh install.

I'm not sure why this is happening but I think it has something to do with DX12 and Unreal Engine. If I don't run -dx12 it will crash randomly, but then I have to reinstall the game every time I play it.
Relevant Specs:
Win10 64 bit
NVIDIA 1080ti
Intel i7-7700k

Did you end up fixing this issue? It's popped up for me now over a month later.
