 MONKEYTOES

The Most Efficient Tactic Available (META)

Currently, I believe it is full heavy armor, halberd, and two throwing-maces.

What do you guys think the meta is?

Zweihander and Halberd are king. Morph into drags are very powerful with these.

Greatsword is pretty fast for it's damage especially when it comes to alt mode and stabs.

Shield + arming/axe/Warhammer very effective, but not too over powered in my opinion.

No reason not to go full heavy armor. Maybe with light legs if you want.

Medium helm + light torso + cloth legs give you best speed while preventing 1 shots. Works very well with spear.

Halberd/Zweihander uppercuts are fucking lethal if done right, no one can block that shit for some reason. At first I was like the only one doing that all the time but now everyone else is doing it as well.

Everyone seemed to have mentioned the biggest offenders, funny how everythinf here except Zwei and Arming got nerfs, deservedly so. "Impossible" underswings are more an anim problem than a weapon problem imo.

2h vs Arming Sword is the hardest one for me personally.

Left uppercut ripostes dragged into the enemy so they're instant

the halberd is fucking op, but the zwei can easily be beaten out with an arming sword

I'd say the branch. Its bent shape and lack of speed make it a confusing weapon to deal with

NO, we don't need nerfs, we need..... BUFFS! When everything are OP, nothing is OP.

I felt really bad when I got killed by this

The halberd can either hit instantly or drag forever, and that combination makes it hard to judge while easy to use. I feel like it doesn't have many drawbacks.

Just in observing the gameplay, drooling over youtube vids of alpha streaming... it looks like 1) There's no point in wearing anything but full plate 2) Why use anything but Halberd or the Evening star? Speed, Damage, Range.

Identifying this now in Alpha should help them make the other weapons less useless.

I mean, if all you care about is killing in an Alpha build and not necessarily getting better, there isn't much reason not to use shield + mace, shield + arming sword, mordhau, halberd, eveningstar, or zweihander. But people want to actually test stuff and build up fundamental skills rather than crutch on cheese that will probably get patched/balanced out/dramatically changed by release anyways.
