Am I going to be punished for binding my swings to Chivalry equivalents?

I play with preset binds and have no issues, even with chambers. However you do need the muscle memory for them. The game was designed so you can play with both and not be limited by mechanics.

LMB = Right strike
Mouse wheel down = Right upper strike
Thumb button = Undercut

ALT for the alt swings.

LMB = right strike
E = stab
Q = overhead right
R = use
F = kick
Thumb 1 = overhead left
Thumb 2 = understike left
Wheel up = primary weapon
Wheel down = secondary

No feint button :( not enough buttons on mouse or keys on keyboard...

That's a massive disadvantage if you are wasting your wheel up and down on changing weapons. You'd have 2 free keys for feint if you didn't do that.

Alt + preset button angle will do the opposite side of that bound angle.

Does Alt key also flips attacks if i use the 240° system ?

How often do you jump? I mapped feint to 'space' and jump to 'v'

Instead of ALT, you can also have it so that the left/right direction is determined by your mouse while the angle is still determined by Chiv bindings.

The problem is I never use mouse wheel. Not even in chiv when I panic I mash buttons. So when I lose my weapon I panic I ended up pressing qw 123 and tab. Using mouse wheel made it so I didn't crash my brain and computer when I panicked for another weapon.

LMB = Slash
Alt LMB = Left Slash
Mousewheel forward = Stab
Mousewheel back = Right lower strike
Mousethumb 1 = Right upper strike
Mousethumb 2 = Left upper strike
Middle Mousebutton = Left lower strike

Works for me but I'm a filthy casual who gets rekt. But the 240 degree system is horrid for me, I can't get the hang of it and I won't be able (or willing) to put the time and effort into learning it. :3

I like to win and it kinda annoys me that I am at a disadvantage in first person? It's a much cooler and intense feel when you're in it and I don't like to sacrifice it.

No, the best players will be using first. Your player model blocks the view in 3rd meaning it's harder to react to swings, aim, chamber, etc

I used to play with E for stab in chiv too until i realized i cant stab while strafing right then i changed back to scroll wheel and got used to it.

I wish we were all forced to either use the 240° system or the key bindings. I don't like that 2 systems are present. Hard to decide which to use, I mostly use a combination of both and this somehow fucks up all the controls. I don't like that.

I had the same question, this would help quite a bit I think!

Especially if it turns out later than one system is superior, so a lot of people will have to re-learn it to not be at disadvantage.

Most people seem to be using a combination of both systems rather than only one...
