Could it be possible that the euo02 servers thinks i'm already sending too many requests at the same time?
I have 7 servers on the same dedicated machine

I'm getting the same error with one server.

Hi there! i have got the server up and going but when i run the server it is only showing as a deathmatch for some reason and defaulting to the pit map, this is what i have in my game.ini file:

[/Script/Mordhau.MordhauGameMode]
PlayerRespawnTime=5.000000
BallistaRespawnTime=30.000000
CatapultRespawnTime=30.000000
HorseRespawnTime=30.000000
DamageFactor=1.000000
TeamDamageFactor=0.500000
MapRotation=HRD_Camp
MapRotation=HRD_Grad
MapRotation=HRD_Taiga
MapRotation=HRD_MountainPeak

is there something i am missing? I am wanting to make a horde server thank you in advance

Try this

Engine.ini
[/Script/EngineSettings.GameMapsSettings]
ServerDefaultMap=/Game/Mordhau/Maps/Contraband/TDM_Contraband.TDM_Contraband

Change to your map mode&name

I got a game server up and running, but it appears that the server is only using 1 of the 6 cores. When 64 players join; the server starts to lag (I think the single core being used, is bottle necking).

I have joined a server with 64 players that appears to be stable. Does anyone know if there is a way to more evenly spread the load around to the other cores?

Best,

Forbearance

For those who had the 502 bad gateway problem when the servers ping the mordhau server. Complete reinstall of the server file solved the problem for me

I have a few issues:

1) When starting up my server, it always starts on an FFA map, even when I don't have any in the map rotation. If I manually change the map, then the rotation works correctly.

2) Is there any way to set a priority to join the server? When my server gets full, the only way I can join it is to spam join until I get lucky, or restart the server and join it right when it starts up. I'd like to be able to join it at anytime, preferably through a priority queue or something?

3) Any word on remote management? I'd like to see the status of the server, players, map it's on, etc., without having to be in it.

I opened a Server, I can join without Problems but somehow my Friends cant. I didnt open the Ports since i cant connect to my router atm.
We are all connected via hamachi but console-connect with the ip4 doesnt work.
Do i really need to open the ports so my friends are able to join ? since its only in lan i dont think it will make a difference

1) That is pretty typical unless you swap out the default map in the command line.
2) Currently there is no way to do this that I have tested or been successful at. But make sure you have your SteamID64 as admin in the Game.ini Admins=76561197980089505 is mine for example. Put that above your server password.
There is this setting in the DefaultGame.ini That may work is the MaxSpectators=1 or 2 which could be a reserved slot for admins but I haven't tested it. It seems that the DefaultGame.ini resets after the server starts so maybe adding it to the command line might work.
[/Script/Engine.GameSession]
MaxSplitscreensPerConnection=1
bRequiresPushToTalk=False
MaxPlayers=0
MaxSpectators=0
3) If you host your own then no, there is no remote admin tool out yet. Paid hosting servers have a web interface that lets you see some things like player count and some even have a console but I have not been able to input commands in it. There is this that may help:
SteamCMD

SteamCMD is a command line program that allows you to install software such as dedicated servers without the need to install the Steam Client (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD).

Use of SteamCMD assumes that you know the app ID of the program you wish to download or update.

The easiest way to use SteamCMD to install your dedicated server is to use SteamCMD-GUI (https://github.com/DioJoestar/SteamCMD-GUI/releases). This program allows you to select all of the desired variables and then install in one click. It even allows for running most Source servers. Usage of the SteamCMD-GUI tool is fairly straightforward. You will need to install the SteamCMD program separately before use; there is a quick button in the GUI tool to do this.

For Steam games with dedicated server software that does not have its own independent app ID, check in the game’s installation directory

Typically you will have to open all the default ports for the game to "pass through" to your dedicated server. even if you just "host a local game this tends to be true. Here is a link with some info on possible work arounds on a dynamic ip, at the bottom of the page.

Unfortunately Unreal Engine 4 (4.16) is heavily single core dependent. The devs would have to program in multicore into the server code. Most AAA titles do not even do this. So it is kind of a wasted exercise.

any suggestions?

Thank you

Make sure the 27015 and 7777 port are open in the firewall . If you are hosting at home you may need NAT rules. Last thing the port must on already be in use by another game server

NEW SERVER PATCH!
New patch! Make sure to restart Steam so the update is downloaded.

  • Supporter Pack DLC items should now show up
  • Matchmaking improvements
  • Server browser improvements
  • Fixed a certain duping exploit on Horde
  • Added 64p variant Skirmish maps for custom servers: SKM_Taiga_64, SKM_MountainPeak_64, SKM_Grad_64, SKM_Camp_64
  • Exposed some parameters for server owners (these go into game.ini), see https://pastebin.com/raw/CbDANhzr for details (server owners only)

I also updated the master map list to reflect the addition of SKM 64 player maps:
https://mordhau.com/forum/topic/14501/current-map-list-with-modes-for-server-hosting/#c4

New Mode Controls - add to Game.ini
